Article marketing is a great way to drive traffic to your website or blog, build a solid presence online, and establish you as the go-to person in your industry or niche. And the good news is it is easy to do, and because of that, can be done consistently, which garners even greater results. The key to article marketing success is making sure you write frequently and also write well. It works if you do it right, but earns you very little success if you don’t. Let’s talk about how we can get the best results time and time again.
Here are some of our best article marketing tips:
Keep providing fabulous content – One challenge for those who do write frequently is how to come up with something fresh and new and still engage your audience week after week. It can be difficult, but definitely can be done. You do this by being on top of your game, knowing your audience well, and also making a commitment to continually learn new things yourself. This is important because it helps you to provide newsworthy material; and because you yourself are learning new things, it can be the latest and greatest information you are writing about. Plus, you can tackle subjects others might not be discussing and alert your audience to changes they might find beneficial.
Your writing style is also important. Keep your articles well-written without the use of too much technical jargon, too many stats, being too impersonal and stuffy, and so forth. Also, remember article marketing is to provide information and is not an ad for your business. You want to be really careful your article is worthy of being read. However, if done right, you can add in a little promotion. Let’s show you how.
Sneak in a little promo – Now you can’t market your business or include a website link in the article itself like you can in a press release. That is BAD form. However, you can still get in a tiny bit of promo. How? Easy. First, always provide your readers with articles full of useful information. That in and of itself is a great selling point for your business because of the value you offer. The bio will then secure their interest. However, in the actual article, you can talk in more general terms and do a little promoting. For example, you can’t say “Hire us at…” and include your website link. But what you can say is something like “You need an online support specialist who specializes in marketing to help you implement these tips.” This is totally acceptable and recommended. Just keep it subtle and make it fit within the useful info you are sharing.
SEO match-up – Now we know SEO is important in your article marketing campaign and that you should do a keyword search analysis before sending out your articles. We also know you need to start with a great keyword-driven title; a title that contains the keyword phrases your customers and clients would be typing in their searches. And these keywords should appear within the first few words of your title. What we recommend though is taking it a step further. How? One tip is to match your SEO and keyword phrase directly to a page on your site. By using the exact keyword phrase and directing them to a specific page where they can continue to find the same lingo, they become all the more interested in what you offer. So, don’t always direct them to the home page of your website. Instead, try occasionally linking to a website page that discusses what you are writing about. That link will be included in your bio along with verbiage directing them there. For example, you can talk about the article marketing services you provide, and in the bio indicate you specialize in article marketing and for additional information go to your website to learn more. On that page you would include specific information discussing the article marketing services you provide. This is also effective for a sales page.
Article marketing works and should be a vital part of your marketing. Incorporating these tips into your present strategy should help you get even better results with what you’re already doing. And remember, if you need help with your online marketing campaigns, look for a qualified online support specialist to help. (See what we just did there.) It works!
