Some of us can describe our client’s businesses to a “T,” yet stumble over our words when asked to succinctly describe ours. As business owners, we spend so much time helping to nurture our client’s business, we sometimes neglect our own. With the popularity of meet-ups, conventions, boot camps and local networking events, it’s more important than ever to be able to quickly and effectively describe our businesses to those who inquire; otherwise known as the “elevator speech.” In just mere seconds, potential clients and prospects form an opinion of your business based on first impressions. Being prepared with a succinct, to-the-point pitch that follows the below outline will aid in turning these new connections into potential customers;
Tell them who you are and what you do (and how that helps your clients).
Describe how they can benefit from working with you or your team.
End with a question or ask for a referral.

What’s YOUR elevator speech?
