Looking to add a little extra “pop” to your online images and videos? ThingLink is a fun new tool that lets users add multimedia overlays or text to any image they own. But the real bonus is in the fact that what is added via the ThingLink tool becomes instantly interactive, allowing those viewing the image or video to click the text or link within the picture. As you can imagine, marketers, brands and companies love this new tool because it raises engagement and the success rates of their ads and image-based content.
Users can start by selecting an image from an upload, online URL or Flickr and then add links to every site imaginable inside the image (called “things”). That image can then be embedded in websites, blogs or in social media comments or posts, and viewers can access the “thing” you have linked inside your image immediately. ThingLink’s basic or “personal” option is completely free but only offers basic tagging & analytics. The paid version is a bit pricy and ranges from $250-$1500 a month, but contains some pretty meaty options like advanced tracking and analytics. ThingLink also offers free Android and iOS apps as well. New users can opt for a free 30-day trial of the paid version.
