Wow … I never thought I would be saying this, but I’ve made the switch from Social Warfare to Social Pug. Both Social Warfare and Social Pug are social sharing plugins for WordPress. I’ve always promoted and loved Social Warfare, until now.
I’m just a tiny bit jazzed. Social sharing is a wonderful way to get your content out in front of your target audience. Which is why I am a big proponent of having social sharing buttons on your website.
Personally, my social sharing plugin of choice is Social Warfare. I really love the Social Warfare sharing buttons I have on my WordPress blog – for a variety of reasons. However, Dustin Stout, one of the co-founders of Warfare plugins, made me giggle with glee at a possibility I hadn’t thought of.

UPDATE: Due to many, many issues with Social Warfare since they updated to 3.0, and the subsequent hack and vulnerability issue in March 2019, we are no longer using the Social Warfare plugin. The Social Warfare Plugin came about because the creators of the plugin couldn’t find any social sharing plugins that did what they wanted them to do; so they created their own. The plugin was created to provide lightning fast, highly responsive social share buttons for WordPress users. BUT, in addition to providing an easy way for your readers to share your content while providing social proof at the same time, it also offers a few perks that are definitely worth taking a look at.
