If you are an author … through a traditional publishing company or self-published; hard copy, soft copy or eBook, and your book isn’t available on Amazon in their Kindle eBook format, you are limiting your reach and missing out on a growing market for book sales. While studies show more Americans still prefer holding a physical book in their hot little hands, the number of those who prefer an e-reader like Amazon’s Kindle is growing. Pew Research Center’s article A Snapshot of Reading in America in 2013 stated the following: “As of January 2014, some 76% of American adults ages 18 and older said that they read at least one book in the past year. Almost seven in ten adults (69%) read a book in print in the past 12 months, while 28% read an e-book, and 14% listened to an audio book.”
You are if you’re an author on Amazon without an Author page!
If you are an author selling books or eBooks on Amazon, you’re missing out on prime real estate if you don’t have an Amazon Author page. If you don’t have an author page, people will be directed to a list of your books, which is good. If you have an Author page, however, people are directed to a page that can be a powerful marketing tool for any Amazon author.

Every part of your book can be a sales tool. When you include the below tips, you’ll sell more books than you ever dreamed of.
1. Write for your one preferred audience. Not everyone wants your book. Find out what audience wants/needs your book? What problems does your book solve for them? Create an audience profile and keep your audience’s picture in front of you as you write. Ask yourself, is my topic narrow enough? The Chicken Soup For The Teenager, For The Prisoner, and other specific groups sold far more copies than the original Chicken Soup.
