Very little content is created these days without regard to keywords. In a nutshell, using keywords is a little like detective work. We look at our sales pages, blog posts, or ezine articles and hone in on the words the buying public may use when searching online to locate our business, our website, and our products.
So is using good keywords to drive traffic just more social “woo-woo?” NOPE. Keywords are in fact a very critical part of your marketing, blogging, and social media efforts; and without keywords you have marginal SEO. Not using keywords would be very much like trying to run your car with no gas.
Good research is critical to finding quality keywords, so take the time to do it right. We advise creating and following a process (don’t just “wing it!”) Use online tools such as Google AdWords, KeywordSpy, SpyFu, and Google Trends to help you make good decisions.
