Thanksgiving is almost upon us. For those of us in the US, it’s the national signal to proceed with holiday festivities! Holiday shopping is already well underway with all the early Black Friday sales. Christmas trees are popping up across my Facebook feed as so many of my friends can’t wait to get started. Holiday party invites are coming in fast and furious, and planning is well underway for the BizEase team’s very own virtual Christmas party, which spans the continent. I love both Thanksgiving and Christmas; the spirit of the holidays, the joy of the season, the magic in the air … but boy oh boy can it be overwhelming.
It’s never too early to start planning for the holidays; and that doesn’t just apply to turkey-buying and guest-inviting. Your business needs a holiday plan too, so you can take some well deserved time off to prepare for, and enjoy, the holidays while your business keeps going without skipping a beat.
Planning helps you stay in control. Wouldn’t you rather be kicking back with an eggnog and some cookies before the holidays instead of working late into the evenings (or on weekends) to hastily create your weekly ezine or email blast? Planning ahead now helps avoid frustration later.
Taking advantage of the scheduling options in your favorite technical tools like WordPress, 1ShoppingCart, Aweber and social media dashboards like HootSuite or TweetDeck will help ease the pressure, reduce stress, and keep your business humming during the holidays. Schedule your tweets, Facebook page updates, blog posts and email blasts right up until the end of the year (which is right around the corner and will be here before we know it!) to help you plan for a smooth holiday season both professionally and personally.
The holiday season is coming to a close! My family is still basking in the warmth and joyfulness of Christmas, and excitedly looking forward to the new year ahead. It’s such a wonderful time to reflect on the past year – both personally and professionally … a time to be thankful for the many blessings we’ve received, a time to reflect on the many goals we set for the past year (those we’ve met and those we didn’t quite reach) and set new goals for the year ahead. It’s a time to forgive ourselves (and most certainly others) for the mistakes we’ve made and forge on with the intent of making wiser and more thoughtful decisions in both our personal and business lives.
I am so very thankful for so many people …
Our wonderful clients – without them we would have no business,
The extraordinarily fabulous BizEase Support Solutions team – they are the true backbone of my business,
All of my VA friends and colleagues – for making me so very proud to be a part of this incredible industry …
and to all my Twitter and Facebook friends and everyone else I’ve been so blessed to get to know this year. For all of you, I am truly grateful.
May all of you have THE most blessed of all Holiday Seasons … and may 2013 exceed your wildest dreams for abundantly blessed and prosperous lives and successful businesses!!
