It’s Thursday, you’ve got a newsletter to get out to your list by tomorrow and your brain is on EMPTY. No topic is tripping your trigger and you’re starting to get antsy and frustrated. You could sit and stew, procrastinate and spin your wheels for a few more hours, or you could mine for forgotten content gold within resources you already have. Here are a couple of ideas:
Go back through old notes from meetings: Scan through old notebooks or notepads from meetings (you know you have them) and look for ideas, facts and tips that you’ve completely forgotten about. Also check any notes you may have taken during offline and online seminars or webinars. You may be surprised what nuggets of gold lurk within those notes.
Check your Phone or Third Party Tools: When an idea comes over me, and I’m not at my desk, I often reach for my phone and type a quick note to myself in my notepad app or Evernote. These tech-based tools can be like a virtual file cabinet filled with links, ideas, old meeting notes and even notes from interviews. Mine those old notes for content-worthy information and forgotten gems for easy content to help you get on with your day.
