At the tail-end of August, Facebook surprised everyone by giving its once strict promotions and contest guidelines a complete overhaul. On August 27th, Facebook updated their Pages Terms to make it easier for any business to administer and post contests and promotions from within their Facebook Business Page. In the past, this was an option that was only possible with the use of third party apps like ShortStack and WooBox. What this means to you is that Pages are now allowed to host contests that ask for comments or Likes as a way to enter. Though this is a welcomed change, there are some pros and cons you need to know.
