I’m finding all kinds of cool software, tools and apps to share with you lately. A couple of them have actually been recommendations from others. Last week I told you about RecurPost, a free social media scheduling app that recycles evergreen content, recommended by one of my team members. This week’s is a very unique (and reasonably priced) CRM tool recommended by a prospective client, called Cloze. It’s the little beauty I mentioned in the Monday Marketing BizTip – on Tuesday live video I did.
A penny saved is a penny earned. Right? So why is this post about Infusionsoft?
Infusionsoft is a great system built (in their own words) to put your business on automation. It seems to be one of those systems you either love or hate. I haven’t really found much of an in-between. As great as Infusionsoft is, and as much as it does, it also has a high learning curve, and is very, expensive. After the initial cost of a couple thousand dollars, it will cost the typical business (depending on the number of users) $299 per month. Yep. Just under $300 per month.
Are you using 1SC or AWeber but want to switch to a higher end, more automated system like Infusionsoft? For many, the biggest fear about moving your list from one system to another is that typically, you can expect to lose about half of your subscribers because of the double-optin requirement when importing lists into most email/autoresponder systems. Never fear! With Infusionsoft you don’t have to worry about losing a single contact on your lists when making the switch. You can use Infusionsoft’s built-in import wizards to import from AWeber, 1ShoppingCart, or Constant Contact with a single click. Or … import easily from a csv file without requiring a double opt-in. No matter what email marketing system you are using, it is essential that you provide those on your list with an option to opt out of your emails. Unlike email services like 1ShoppingCart.com, Constant Contact and aWeber that automatically insert predefined opt-out links at the bottom of your email, Infusionsoft gives you the flexibility of customization. If you’re doing your e-mail marketing through Infusionsoft, and you have not customized your opt-out link, you could be losing subscribers unnecessarily. There are two very important reasons to create your own opt-out link. The first one is because someone may simply want to want to update their e-mail address or contact information, but remain on your list. The second is that someone may want to opt-out of your weekly promotion e-mail, but continue to receive your monthly newsletter or other email offerings. Infusionsoft’s default opt-out link allows for one thing: unsubscribe from all e-mail marketing! Ouch!
