If you’ve been following my blog over the years, this post might seem familiar, because it is! The original post was written in 2005, and another version (highlighting different tech tools and goodies) came out in 2012. Because we live in a society driven by technology, the premise never seems to change, just the different tech tools we use. And since the analogy of a coffee pot still works for me, I’ll continue to use it.
In this week’s tip I share three of my favorite business apps that work cross platform. I loaded these little puppies on my desktop computer, my laptop, my iPad and my Droid for easy access no matter where I am!
There seems to be some new software program, gadget or “thingamabob” coming out every day in this ever changing era of technological breakthroughs. To me, technology is kind of like a coffee pot. For instance, I use to be excited about the coffee pots you could buy that ground your coffee and brewed it on command at the touch of a button. All you had to do was take it out of the box, set it up and program it so it did it’s thing at just the right time so you could wake up to a hot cup of coffee. Now they have the one cup wonders where all you have to do is pop a disc or K-cup or pod (in every flavor and beverage choice imaginable) in the dispenser and brew a quick cup in 30-60 seconds. If you wait just a bit, there will be some other kind of coffee pot that is bigger and better and faster and … well you know, something you just have to have even though the one you just paid for still makes a great cup of coffee!
