It seems all of the social media channels are looking to jump on the “freshening things up a bit” wagon of making effective design changes to their platforms. First it was Twitter, and then Facebook rolled out their new design/appearance changes. And now, not to be outdone, LinkedIn has come up with new changes for their premium users as well. As of June 4th, LinkedIn now offers their premium users the option of adding a large banner header image to their profile to help show off their brand. Another new offering is the chance for premium users to hide their premium status by turning on or off the “Premium” badge that shows up on their profile. If you are indeed a premium user, here are some solid reasons why you should leave your badge “on.”
Your profile listing will appear larger in search results.
You can select a background photo from a gallery of professional photos.
Your profile photo will appear 30% larger.
A snazzy gold LinkedIn logo will appear next to your profiles in search results.
You have the option to receive Open Profile messages.
