Or do you keep them in the dark about your business goals and the direction of your business?
If your Marketing Specialist or marketing support team aren’t privy to what you want to do with your business, and where you want to take it, they are going to be less than effective in the services they provide. That is … unless all you want is someone who will “do this, do that, and then go on to the next task” whenever you bark out orders. If that’s all you want, then there is absolutely no reason to allow them into the inner sanctum of your business, or keep them in the know about your business goals and dreams.
However, if you want someone (or a team of someones) who will partner with you for the long haul, help you grow your business, keep on track with what YOU want, and be able to anticipate what you might need to reach your goals faster, then it’s in your best interest to keep your “someone” or “team of someones” up-to-date regarding the inner workings of your business.
The best way to do that is to have regular chats with your marketing support team to discuss the state of your business and make sure you are still on track to achieve your business goals.Have regular chats with your team to discuss the state of your business and stay on track.Click To Tweet
Keeping your team in the dark about what you want to accomplish and what’s coming up in the next phase of your business is like keeping your foot on the communication hose. The more your team knows about your business, the better equipped they are to anticipate your needs or suggest new marketing tactics; and the better equipped they are to help you succeed.
Regular chats with your team members will not only keep them in the know, but will keep the communication lines open for a healthier, happier business relationship with all involved.
