We’re all aware of the hustle and bustle of the busy holiday season and what that means to our families, our sanity and our budget. But have you thought about holiday planning for your business?
We just celebrated Thanksgiving here in the US, and Christmas is a little too close for comfort to suit me. So it’s not “Ready or not here they come,” it’s “Ready or not here they are!” But never fear, it’s not too late.
It’s never too early (or late) to start planning for the holidays. And when I say “holiday planning” I’m not just talking about buying a nice fat turkey or ham, decorating the house and trying to figure out who’s going to sit next to Aunt JoAnn at the dinner table. Your business needs a holiday plan too, so you can take some well deserved time off to prepare for, and enjoy, the holidays while your business keeps going without skipping a beat.
Holiday planning helps you stay in control. Wouldn’t you rather be kicking back with an eggnog and some cookies before the holidays instead of working late into the evenings (or on weekends) to hastily create your weekly newsletter or email blast? Or how about all of the social media posts that still need to happen? Planning ahead now helps avoid frustration later.
Taking advantage of the scheduling options in your favorite tech tools like WordPress, MailChimp, 1ShoppingCart, Infusionsoft, and social media schedulers like CoSchedule, HootSuite or Meet Edgar, will help ease the pressure, reduce stress, and keep your business humming along during the holidays.Schedule your blog and social media posts ahead of time so you can relax and enjoy the holidays!Click To Tweet
Scheduling your social media updates, blog posts, newsletters and email blasts right up until the end of the year (which is right around the corner and will be here before we know it!) will help you plan for a smooth holiday season both professionally and personally.
Here’s to jumping on the holiday planning bandwagon for a happier, more peaceful and less stressful holiday season!
