Forget invisibility! Make visibility your super power.
I recently started working with an individual I met at a networking event a couple years back. She told me she found my emails so useful, she decided to work with my team.
This is proof it can take many touches, or interactions, with a business or brand before they are ready to buy.
The goal of a strong marketing plan is to keep your business in front of those you’ve worked with in the past, currently work with, or wish to work with in the future, so they’ll all think of you when they need the service or product you provide.
This is why online marketing is so critical to the success of any business.
In this world of digital marketing, you have endless opportunities to engage with past, current, and future clients. It all comes down to crafting a plan that walks that fine line between too much information and not enough.
Here are five ways you can increase the visibility of your business, even if you’ve been in the online marketing game for years.
Change your newsletter template. If you’ve been doing a good job with your newsletters, maybe there’s no need to change things. However, if your open rates have been decreasing, and you’re losing subscribers, it might be time to update your newsletter template. Sometimes we end up fading into the scenery as readers get tired of seeing the same thing from us time and time again. It might not be registering to them as “news.”
Create a new email campaign. Have you segmented your list? Do you know which of your contacts have yet to buy from you? If so, consider rolling out a campaign to capture their interest. Maybe consider introducing a compelling special offer? Or a new informative series of articles on something that will hook their interest? Do you know who buys frequently? Reward them for doing so with a campaign containing “next level” information. Update your free offer. Are you using a free report or download of some sort to entice people to hand over their email address and subscribe to your list? When’s the last time you updated that offer? Many of our clients come to us frustrated that their lead generation piece or offer isn’t getting them the results they want to grow their list. Then we discover they haven’t updated it in four or five years. Spruce that puppy up! Even if it’s the same offer with a new title and a new look, that could help. However, if you come up with something new, that gives you another reason to email your list and issue a press release. Which brings us to our next suggestion…
Issue a press release. If you want some new eyes on your business, find a valid reason to issue a press release. Maybe you’ve introduced a new service or promotion. Perhaps you’re celebrating a business milestone. Perhaps you’ve opened a new location or have booked a speaking tour. Whatever the reason, write a press release and get the word out there!
Diversify your mediums. If you don’t do video, try video. If you don’t do podcasts, try a podcast. If you don’t blog, start a blog. Everyone likes to receive their information in different ways, so if you want to increase your reach, change things up!
