In the ever changing world of social Media, Facebook certainly tries to keep us on our toes with their constant updates. Last week I wrote about their new video platform, Watch. This week is about several updates that have been, or are being, rolled out to users.
Colored Comments: We’ve had the ability to include background colors on posts for some time now. However, Facebook is rolling out colored backgrounds for comments too. Right now it’s only available on the Android, but will eventually roll out to iOS, the mobile site, and Facebook on your computer.

Speech Bubbles: I can’t see it yet, but evidently, Facebook is changing the the way conversations look in your newsfeed. Once the update hits your feed, comments under posts will look more like an iPhone text message … with your comment being encased in a light gray speech bubble!

Round Profile Image: Starting in August, Facebook began changing the shape of your profile picture on business pages, from square to round. If you go to your Facebook business page, most of you will have the option to preview your profile image in the new round format so you can make any adjustments or change your photo out before the change hits.
Stories: And last but not least, Facebook has added Stories to the main Facebook app. Very similar to Instagram Stories, your posts will last for 24 hours before disappearing, and won’t appear on your timeline or news feed unless you post them there too.
There are certainly more updates and changes coming down the pike, but that’s it for now!
Facebook’s roll out schedule for updates is hit and miss for users. Some get the various roll outs right away, some (usually me) get them later. Would love to hear if you’re seeing any of the new updates and features yet, and what you think about them.
