Or will there really be one?
This post might seem a little redundant, given Tuesday’s post was on the same topic. But to be fair, Tuesday’s post was about how to get your content seen in the WAKE of all of the changes with the algorithm for Facebook pages. Today’s post is about the origination of all of the hullabaloo going on about it all over social media. This is the information I sent out to my list and my current clients on Friday. I’m still finding people who don’t understand what’s going on, and really haven’t heard any more than gossip on Facebook. And, people seem to be freaking … and that’s not good. So, I hope you’ll excuse me if you’ve heard it all before.
We’ve all been seeing a decline in the reach of our Facebook business pages (fan pages or whatever else you want to call them), and we’ve heard scary things about the proposed changes regarding who will see what, when and where.
Well, it’s time. Mark Zuckerberg’s very recent announcement regarding the demise of Facebook pages as we know them, made if official and real. Here is the article, News Feed FYI: Bringing People Closer Together, released by Adam Mosseri, Head of Newsfeed.

Facebook Page marketing is not dead. It’s simply time to get back to the roots of Facebook, and start rethinking Facebook Page marketing and how we approach it in business!
