A penny saved is a penny earned. Right? So why is this post about Infusionsoft?
Infusionsoft is a great system built (in their own words) to put your business on automation. It seems to be one of those systems you either love or hate. I haven’t really found much of an in-between. As great as Infusionsoft is, and as much as it does, it also has a high learning curve, and is very, expensive. After the initial cost of a couple thousand dollars, it will cost the typical business (depending on the number of users) $299 per month. Yep. Just under $300 per month.
Now in Infusionsoft’s defense, it is a complete system that allows you to really fine tune your sales and marketing funnel and keep people moving in the direction you guide them. It’s just that not every business really needs a system this powerful, won’t use it to its full potential, or may not be able to afford the high price tag.
My team and I have been on the lookout for something comparable to Infusionsoft in function, but lower in cost. Up until now, nothing. Zip. Nada.
However, I think we may have stumbled on a solution that will do everything Infusionsoft does, but is much, more affordable – thanks to one of my good friends on Facebook – Jen Bourn, of Bourn Creative.
MailChimp + AgileCRM + Zapier + your payment processor. Imagine that!
Mailchimp is the list-building component. It’s free, unless you want the automation function, which is typically between $10-$50 per month depending on the size of your list. One of the great things about MailChimp is its simplicity and that it integrates with just about everything under the sun, which in turn, makes everything else a lot simpler.
AgileCRM is the CRM component that includes email, nurturing sequences, automation, social suites, contact management, sales management, form builders, drip marketing, newsletters, social media, appointment scheduling lots of plugins and integration options. Zapier is an app that connects the apps you use to automate tasks, very similar to IFTTT, but a bit more high-powered. It integrates with MailChimp, Infusionsoft, LeadPages, Gravity Forms, Evernote, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, Gmail, Twitter, Dropbox, and a gazillion other apps and programs. Best of all … it’s Free!
Integrate the 3 apps/programs above and finish it off with WooCommerce, Stripe or QuickbooksOnline or PayPal for your payment processor, and voila. You’re up and running. There may be a few other options for payment processors that I don’t know about.
While I’ve never personally worked with this combination of systems before, I love what I’m seeing and will be digging a LOT more into the ins and outs of setting it up. Might be something I try out for my own business, just to see how it all works. I already use MailChimp, so I’m sold on that part! Whether I do or don’t, I’ve been assured it’s a beautiful thing, at a much lower cost!
