Hello Bar …
The Hello Bar itself is just a thin horizontal strip that goes across the very top of your site. But this little “bar” can be customized with colors, fonts and other cool options.
It can also be customized to encourage opt-ins, announce upcoming events, promote giveaways or products, or even poll your readership. An article on DIYThemes shared what a great tool Hello Bar is for gaining email subscribers when paired with a strong call-to-action.
Hello Bar appears to be a non-obtrusive way to engage readers/visitors while growing your list at the same time. Anything online marketers can do these days to set themselves apart from the “pack” is all good.
Hello Bar has a couple of different purchase options. There is a souped up pay-per-click pro version with different plans based on the number of clicks per month (there is a free plan that will allow up to 25 clicks per month), as well as a solo version, for a measly one-time fee of $29. Both include stats so you can see your outcome by day, week or month. There’s also an A/B testing option that I think could be very useful. The bottom line is Hello Bar provides an option for business professionals who are marketing events or products, and works great if you’re having a quick sale because you can connect the Hello Bar notification to your payment system. Now that’s a cool option. All in all, it’s a great new way to create a “sticky” message at the top of the page of your blog or website.
