You know the old saying, “It’s Hard To Soar Like An Eagle When You Are Surrounded By Turkeys.” Well it’s true; and who you choose to surround yourself with can have a big impact on your business health. It’s kind of like “you are what you eat,” but in the physical sense of “you are who you associate with.”
As human beings, we tend to feed off the emotions and feelings of those we are around all of the time. If you constantly surround yourself with people who have no drive or determination to succeed, it’s really difficult to stay determined and keep your own drive to succeed.
On the other hand …
If you associate with others who have a strong drive and determination to succeed, you can’t help but reflect those same things in your own life and business.
Your business health is important. But a healthy business doesn’t just happen, it takes determination and drive. It’s hard enough for small business owners to stay on track, keep themselves motivated and moving forward in their businesses on a day-to-day basis. It’s even more difficult, however, to stay motivated when you are around others who are simply satisfied with the status quo. People who aren’t motivated to move their businesses forward, or worse yet … think they’ve gone as far as they can, or have an “it doesn’t get any better than this” attitude.
The trick is to surround yourself with others who also have a strong drive and determination to succeed. Or better yet, those who have already achieved the success you desire … and are still moving forward.Surround yourself with people who also have a strong drive and determination to succeed!Click To Tweet
A great way to surround yourself with people who are moving forward with you is to join a mastermind group, group coaching, or a networking group of your peers or other like-minded business owners. Find other business owners just like you who want to succeed and move forward with their businesses. Business owners who have the same goals and desires you do.
Then hang with them … feed off the emotions and feelings of others who are success-minded Eagles, and stop surrounding yourselves with Turkeys!
